What to order: The Caroli is their version of a calzone. Crust made from scratch with 35 different topping options. The Nutty Idea is a local favorite. We also recommend going off menu for the “Bacon Cheeseburger” Meatball, Bacon, Tomato, Cheddar, and Dill Pickles. Start the meal with pepperoni cheese bread and wash it down with a 32oz bazooka beer or cocktail.

This taqueria is tucked into a small market near downtown Greeley. Los Comales has developed an almost cult like following among patrons visiting WeldWerks from out of town.

What to order: Tacos. Tacos. Tacos. All of the selections are served traditionally with onion and cilantro. The Asada and Pastor are phenomenal and the salsa bar takes it over the top. Start your meal with some gooey queso fundido.

Another Greeley institution. Generations of patrons have grown up on Burgers, Fried Chicken, and Root Beer Coolers here. The griddle has cooked millions of burgers.

What to order: The Double Double is the signature burger. It’s a double cheeseburger with all the usual toppings and thousand island dressing. The fried chicken here is cut daily. An order of waffle fries will feed a crowd, and a Root Beer Cooler will take the edge off even a 95 degree afternoon.

This place truly is a hole in the wall lunch spot. Very limited seating, but within walking distance of the hotel and brewery. Only open until 3pm and closed on the weekends.

What to order: Cheeseburgers. That’s it here, but it’s the best burger in Greeley. The Bob Burger tops their double cheeseburger with grilled ham. It’s a game changer.

Colorado based sandwich chain serving toasted subs, salads, and homemade desserts. The patio is “cannabis friendly.” The bar staff here is very engaging and friendly. There are about 10 taps and they also serve cocktails.

What to order: The AK-47 (French Dip) is a favorite. Add their chipotle mayo to bring it over the top. The White Widow and 5-0 are also staff favorites. The salads here are fresh and delicious if you’re looking for a lighter option.

Expansive coffee house and a favorite study place for local UNC Students. This is the location of the Brewers Dinner on Thursday, June 21st. Zoe’s staff and owners are close friends of the brewery. Closed Friday-Sunday.

What to order: All of the coffee is sourced from Peru and roasted in small batches. You can’t go wrong.

What To Do In Northern Colorado

75 Minutes West of Greeley on Highway 34
Estes Park is a vibrant mountain town at the gates of Rocky Mountain National Park. The town has extensive shopping and dining. We recommend Wapiti Pub, Grubsteak, and Smokin Daves BBQ if you’re hungry. Rocky Mountain Saltwater Taffy is a can’t miss stop. You can unleash your inner child here too with go karts and putt putt golf.

Rocky Mountain National Park is one of the jewels of Colorado. The park can be explored by car or along the many trails. You can drive Trail Ridge Road to the 12,100 foot apex and enjoy wildlife and wildflowers from your car. The park does have a $25 entrance fee per vehicle.
Most outfitters will depart from LaPorte which is a 35-45 minute drive from Greeley
The Poudre is a great little run for a half day rafting adventure. Amateurs and veterans will enjoy the class 3 and 4 rapids. The snowpack was light this year, but there should still be plenty of adventure to be had the week of the festiva

l.A bonus of the rafting trip can be lunch at Mishawaka Amphitheater. They have a great deck overlooking the river and serve delicious traditional bar food.
Downtown Greeley and Lincoln Park
Friday Fest is a weekly celebration in Downtown Greeley featuring live music. The city closes down the downtown area and patrons can purchase a “go cup” which they can fill with any number of beers and cocktails from restaurants and bars downtown. Who doesn’t like drinking in public?

WeldWerks is sponsoring the Friday Fest on June 22nd. The musical guest that week is Gasoline Lollipops. We highly encourage you to come down to the Invitational Tap Takeover at Patricks and enjoy one of the best parties in Northern Colorado.

It may sound odd we’d recommend this to our visiting brewers, but this museum is really a fantastic place to visit. You’ll be hard pressed not to feel like you’re 8 years old again on Christmas morning.

Located in the old Greeley Train Depot this is a great spot to stretch your legs and enjoy a cool Colorado morning. You can grab any number of breakfast treats and coffee, or some local honey, jam, or jerky to take home.

This extensive trail system runs along the Cache la Poudre River from Greeley all the way to Windsor. It is great for walking. We recommend the walk from the Signature Bluffs Natural Area to the Poudre River Learning Center. Sightings are rarer in the Summer, but you may catch a glimpse of a Bald Eagle soaring above the river or perched above the trail.
1 mile south of WeldWerks
UNC is a cornerstone of the Greeley Community. The school has grown rapidly with Greeley over the last 20 years and boasts over 12,000 students. Many Graduate and Doctoral students spend their off hours at WeldWerks. The “Old Campus” just south of the brewery is well manicured with many walking paths and features diverse types of architecture.

Island Grove Regional Park just northwest of WeldWerks
This year marks the 97th year of the famous rodeo and concert series. Roughly 250,000 people visit Greeley during this 12 day party. Country artist Dustin Lynch will play on Friday night, and Darius Rucker will take the stage Saturday after the Festival. The Carnival and Food Court offer all of the guilty pleasures you’d expect. Parking is $10 and admission is $5.
