General Summary:

As a key part of our business, our sales team blankets the Front Range with our awesome beers and incredible service and hospitality. At the core of our sales philosophy, we aim to provide a quality entrance to our brand experience and ensure we are everywhere our customers need us. Our key relationships are craft centric bars and high end restaurants, as well as visible, engaged and curated liquor stores. We supplement those efforts with attendance at local festivals, account-driven events and promotions, and a concerted effort towards account education and engagement.

Our team of sales reps and logistics operators stands at the center of these growth operations and constantly pushes our beer out to the best outlets along the Front Range. Your number one priority is the engagement as a coach, leader, and mentor to the Sales team!

In addition to staff engagement, the Sales Manager manages all aspects of sales goals and strategies for the brewery. We invest a ton of time, training and education in our leaders - and we expect the leaders to do the same with their teams. The Sales Manager is responsible for the professional growth of the team members through honesty, vulnerability, communication and education.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership and development of Sales staff:

  1. Be personally connected and engaged with all Sales staff
  2. Constantly evaluate team workflow and strategies
  3. Drive team training with a focus on sales soft skills and marketing programs
  4. Ensure performance analytics are well-designed and met on a monthly basis
  5. Define goals-based bonus/commission structures

Develop and execute immediate and long-term Sales strategies:

1. Oversee and manage territory growth

  • Establish expert knowledge of each sales territory
  • Monitor and adjust boundaries for balance and growth opportunities
  • Establish growth forecasting in both volume and revenue

2. Product planning

  • Work with Production Leads and CXO on volume and brand strategies
  • Ensure wholesale compliments our overall volume strategies
  • Develop supporting packaging strategies to align keg volume to can volume
  • Properly balance out of state distribution to in-state growth and taprooms

3. Systems and workflow implementation

  • Lead CRM and Ekos (ERP) system usage
  • Consistently audit team communication, systems, programs, processes and procedures for improvements and training opportunities

Drive customer relationships:

  • Develop and maintain key relationships with top accounts
  • Develop chain/group account programs
  • Develop promotional opportunities to drive account engagement

Oversee Logistics operations:

  • Manage sales and fleet equipment procurement 
  • Evaluate and address warehousing needs
  • Manage fleet tracking and safety training

Function as an active and contributing member of Management:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with all line of business leaders
  • Be an exemplary company leader in the areas of leadership, communication, professionalism, ethics and strategic+critical thinking
  • Participate in executive meetings such as quarterly planning and budgeting
  • Participate in cross team Partnerships (mentorships)

Job Specification:

Skill and Knowledge:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in sales or sales management
  • Advanced knowledge of and a passion for craft beer and the brewing industry
  • Advanced skill in building and motivating teams
  • Advanced skill in identifying inefficiencies and creating sustainable, scalable solutions
  • Advanced skill in developing new accounts and maintaining current accounts
  • Advanced skill in CRM and Google Apps systems
  • Advanced knowledge of sales reports
  • Strong ability develop and maintain sales materials
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management 
  • Strong knowledge of billing/credits

Hours, Travel and Physical Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years old
  • Work weekends, evenings and events (local and regional)
  • Work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • Frequently lift up to 160 pounds
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR)
